Kearl &#8211; Nutrient Requeriment of Ruminants in Developing Countries &#8211; IFI, Utah State University, Logan, USA &#8211; Traduzido por <\/i><strong style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: xx-small;\"><i>Alcides Amorim Ramos<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Face \u00e0s relativamente escassas informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre a alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o de bubalinos dispon\u00edveis na literatura, particularmente naquela acess\u00edvel aos produtores, procuramos efetuar um breve resumo do trabalho acima citado e bem como de outras fontes a que tivemos acesso. Lembramos que n\u00e3o temos forma\u00e7\u00e3o acad\u00eamica ou t\u00e9cnica espec\u00edfica que nos credenciem a considerar a presente adapta\u00e7\u00e3o como de cunho &#8220;cient\u00edfico&#8221;, pretendemos isto sim, abordar alguns dos aspectos relacionados ao tema sob o ponto de vista de simples criadores.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CONSUMO DE MAT\u00c9RIA SECA<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: xx-small;\">Notas:<br \/>\n<i>&#8211; O consumo alimentar \u00e9 normalmente expresso na quantidade de mat\u00e9ria seca dos alimentos consumidos (MS) em fun\u00e7\u00e3o do Peso Vivo do animal (PV). \u00c9 comum em nosso meio este valor ser expresso em porcentagem do peso vivo, por exemplo um consumo de 2% do PV de um animal pesando 300Kg, representa o consumo di\u00e1rio de 6Kg de mat\u00e9ria seca.<br \/>\n&#8211; Em diversas publica\u00e7\u00f5es encontra-se este consumo expresso em gramas consumidas por Kg de peso metab\u00f3lico (Kg MS\/P Kg<\/i><sup><i>0.75<\/i><\/sup><i> ), que se calcula elevando-se o peso do animal \u00e0 0,75 pot\u00eancia. A fim de facilitar eventuais c\u00e1lculos, na aus\u00eancia de uma calculadora cient\u00edfica, apresentamos no ap\u00eandice, uma tabela de convers\u00e3o de peso em Kg x Peso metab\u00f3lico.<br \/>\n&#8211; O consumo de mat\u00e9ria seca pelos animais reveste-se de fundamental import\u00e2ncia no c\u00e1lculo de ra\u00e7\u00f5es objetivando determinados n\u00edveis produtivos. Assim, \u00e9 comum observarmos recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es de ra\u00e7\u00f5es com determinados teores de prote\u00edna, ou energia para determinada fase de crescimento ou produ\u00e7\u00e3o do animal. Ora se o animal consumir quantidades vari\u00e1veis desta ra\u00e7\u00e3o, igualmente vari\u00e1veis ser\u00e3o as quantidades de nutrientes e energia ingeridos, resultando em respostas diversas das inicialmente esperadas.<br \/>\n&#8211; Outro aspecto a ser lembrado \u00e9 que quando se fala em &#8220;consumo&#8221;, nos referimos logicamente \u00e0 dieta total ingerida pelo animal, ou seja, tanto os concentrados ofertados quanto os volumosos, seja no cocho ou na pastagem.<br \/>\n&#8211; Outro termo bastante presente \u00e9 o dos n\u00edveis de recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o NRC. Trata-se de uma tabela norte-americana elaborada para definir as necessidades alimentares di\u00e1rias de animais , no caso da pecu\u00e1ria, de bovinos, para diferentes fases e n\u00edveis de crescimento, desenvolvimento e produ\u00e7\u00e3o. Estas recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es sofrem revis\u00f5es peri\u00f3dicas e n\u00e3o contemplam os bubalinos, cujo rebanho \u00e9 pouco expressivo naquele pa\u00eds.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O consumo de mat\u00e9ria seca \u00e9 vari\u00e1vel em fun\u00e7\u00e3o entre outro fatores, principalmente do est\u00e1gio do animal (crescimento, lacta\u00e7\u00e3o, etc) e do teor de ENERGIA da ra\u00e7\u00e3o, o qual tem normalmente rela\u00e7\u00e3o inversa com o teor de fibras da dieta. O teor de prote\u00ednas da ra\u00e7\u00e3o tem pouca influ\u00eancia sobre este consumo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Animais em crescimento apresentaram em diversos trabalhos, consumos vari\u00e1veis entre 1,25 a 2,57% do PV expressos em mat\u00e9ria seca, sendo os maiores consumos quando do uso de alimentos de melhor qualidade como o feno de alfafa. (calculado com aux\u00edlio de calculadora cient\u00edfica)<br \/>\nP kg<\/i><sup><i>0.75<\/i><\/sup><i> = 250<\/i><sup><i>0.75<\/i><\/sup><i> = 62,87 Kg<br \/>\nF = (- 0.666) + (1.333&#215;1.79) &#8211; (0,2666&#215;1,79<\/i><sup><i>2)<\/i><\/sup><i> = 0,87<br \/>\nConsumo= 97,4 x 0,87 x 62,87 = 5.327,48 g\/dia = 5,3 Kg\/dia (2,13% do PV)<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">Em rela\u00e7\u00e3o a outras esp\u00e9cies, observou-se com rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao consumo de um feno de gram\u00ednea de baixa qualidade, associado a um feno de leguminosa curado ao sol o seguinte comportamento:<br \/>\nBovinos&#8230;&#8230;1,57%<br \/>\nB\u00fafalos&#8230;&#8230;.1,94%<br \/>\nOvinos&#8230;&#8230;..1,28%<br \/>\nCaprinos&#8230;..1,03%<\/p>\n<p>Por outro lado, no consumo de palha n\u00e3o tratada, o consumo foi o mesmo para b\u00fafalos e zebu\u00ednos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Trabalhos com b\u00fafalas em lacta\u00e7\u00e3o mostraram consumos m\u00e9dios em torno de 2,15% do PV. Por\u00e9m, se suplementados com concentrados \u00e0 base de 14,5% da ra\u00e7\u00e3o o consumo cresceu para cerca de 3%, e na base de 27,7% da ra\u00e7\u00e3o, o consumo foi de 3,2% do PV. Tamb\u00e9m na lacta\u00e7\u00e3o, observou-se que o principal fator a contribuir para um maior consumo de mat\u00e9ria seca foi o teor de energia da dieta, n\u00e3o havendo influ\u00eancia do teor de prote\u00ednas da mesma. Como vimos, por\u00e9m, a ingest\u00e3o de mat\u00e9ria seca pelo animal \u00e9 fun\u00e7\u00e3o do teor de energia do alimento. Assim, um alimento mais pobre, resulta numa menor ingest\u00e3o di\u00e1ria total e da\u00ed, com um menor consumo de alimentos, menor quantidade di\u00e1ria de nutrientes e energia \u00e9 ingerida, resultando quando da utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o intensa deste tipo de alimentos, na sua insufici\u00eancia enquanto fontes adequadas de nutrientes para o crescimento e desenvolvimento poss\u00edveis destes animais, bem resultam em produ\u00e7\u00f5es abaixo de sua capacidade gen\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A id\u00e9ia de utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o destes animais em regi\u00f5es onde os bovinos n\u00e3o conseguem sequer sobreviver, resultam em indicadores pobres de produ\u00e7\u00e3o dos mesmos, haja visto a oferta alimentar inadequada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Quando atendidas suas exig\u00eancias nutricionais, esta esp\u00e9cie pode ampliar em muito seus indicadores produtivos, de precocidade reprodutiva e de velocidade de crescimento. Tais exig\u00eancia, apesar de ainda pouco estudadas, apresentam alguns par\u00e2metros orientativos que ser\u00e3o apresentados a seguir.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ENERGIA<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Como comentado acima, o conte\u00fado de energia dos alimentos \u00e9 um fator fundamental no consumo dos alimentos, e quando restrita, resulta consequentemente numa menor ingest\u00e3o global destes alimentos, que por sua vez, resultam numa menor ingest\u00e3o de nutrientes, podendo resultar em car\u00eancias alimentares de diversos destes nutrientes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Diversos fatores afetam as necessidades de energia, entre eles: tamanho, idade, est\u00e1gio de prenhez, produ\u00e7\u00e3o, fase de crescimento, fatores de stress ambiental (temperatura, vento, disponibilidade de \u00e1gua\/sombra, etc.), doen\u00e7as (parasitoses, infec\u00e7\u00f5es,etc.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A necessidade di\u00e1ria total de energia \u00e9 pois composta das necessidades de cada um dos fatores descritos, agrupadas como: energia para manuten\u00e7\u00e3o, energia para crescimento, energia para prenhez, energia para lacta\u00e7\u00e3o e energia para trabalho. Al\u00e9m disto, deveriam levar em conta situa\u00e7\u00f5es particulares como clima, estado f\u00edsico e de sa\u00fade do animal, etc.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: xx-small;\"><i>Notas:<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: xx-small;\"><i>&#8211; Os componentes alimentares que fornecem energia dividem-se basicamente em prote\u00ednas, gorduras e a\u00e7ucares (carbohidratos). As prote\u00ednas e a\u00e7ucares possuem b\u00e1sicamente o mesmo valor energ\u00e9tico 4 cal\/g, enquanto que as gorduras possuem valor 2,25 vezes maior (9 cal\/g). Os demais nutrientes como minerais e vitaminas tem efeito complementar na alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o, n\u00e3o sendo considerados como fontes de energia.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: xx-small;\"><i>&#8211; Nas an\u00e1lises b\u00e1sicas dos alimentos normalmente s\u00e3o avaliados o conte\u00fado proteico, extrato et\u00e9reo (gorduras), fibras (formas complexas de carbohidratos como celulose e lignina, esta \u00faltima n\u00e3o diger\u00edvel)) , extrativos n\u00e3o nitrogenados (principalmente carbohidratos como o amido) e minerais (cinzas).<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: xx-small;\"><i>&#8211; Diversas s\u00e3o as formas de expressar o valor energ\u00e9tico dos alimentos, o que muitas vezes traz muita confus\u00e3o. Apresentamos a seguir algumas de suas express\u00f5es e significados:<br \/>\n<\/i><i><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NDT &#8211; Nutrientes digest\u00edveis totais<\/span><\/i><i>. Representa a soma de todos os nutrientes digest\u00edveis contidos nos alimentos. Atrav\u00e9s da an\u00e1lise b\u00e1sica dos alimentos, pode-se calcular o teor de NDT, normalmente expresso em porcentagem.<br \/>\n<\/i><i><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ED &#8211; Energia Digest\u00edvel <\/span><\/i><i>&#8211; Representa a quantidade total de energia ingerida deduzindo-se aquela excretada nas fezes. Toma-se por base que 1 Kg de NDT produz cerca de 4.400 kcal de ED.<br \/>\n<\/i><i><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">EM &#8211; Energia Metaboliz\u00e1vel <\/span><\/i><i>&#8211; Representa a energia total ingerida, deduzindo-se aquelas excretadas nas fezes, na urina e nos gases eliminados, sendo expressa por unidade de mat\u00e9ria seca ingerida (Kcal\/kg). \u00c9 muitas vezes calculada por estimativa a partir da ED ou dos NDT, assumindo-se para ruminantes que EM kcal\/Kg = 0,82 x ED kcal\/kg<br \/>\n<\/i><i><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ELg &#8211; Energia l\u00edquida de ganho<\/span><\/i><i> . Energia necess\u00e1ria para o ganho de peso ou crecimento.<br \/>\n<\/i><i><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ELm &#8211; Energia l\u00edquida de manuten\u00e7\u00e3o<\/span><\/i><i>. Energia necess\u00e1ria para manuten\u00e7\u00e3o do equil\u00edbrio do animal (seco, n\u00e3o em crescimento, sem prenhez)<br \/>\n<\/i><i><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ELl &#8211; Energia l\u00edquida de lacta\u00e7\u00e3o<\/span><\/i><i>.
